After the competition cancellation and after the correction of the competition rules by the organism “Qualità Italia”, the City of Syracuse finally announced the winning projects: nuvolaB wins the third prize designing a new relationship between the city and the sea. (may 2009)

The office presents 3 projects: the mobile bridge in Venice, the municipality in Calderara di Reno and the municipal library in Maranello.

The competition for the new waterfront of Siracusa has been cancelled for errors in the competition regulations. The responsible is DARC, an organism of the 'Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali' (Ministry of Cultural Property and Activity), financed by Italian taxpayers for caused damages. The organism has the objective to '(…) support concept and design competitions'. The competition form has been proposed in 6 municipalities as an example, hoping to regularize architecture competitions, creating high visibility and collecting more than 600 inscriptions in Italy and abroad. How come there was no survey on the law that prohibits two-phase competitions of which the second phase is anonym but the first phase isn't?

A central atrium organizes the internal distribution of the existing building and the new extension, and a surrounding skin of sunblinds unites the image of both parts. (march 2008)

The office is third classified in the competition for the new municipal library in Maranello (Modena). The project conserves a part of the existing building, making it more representative introducing a new glass volume above the entrance. (november 2007)
