The project is set up as a theatrical ‘process’ designed to involve the city. The second skin enveloping the volume of the ex–thermal centre acts as a kind of urban scenography which, just as in the theatre, changes its appearance to reflect the present use and the particular information being communicated at any given time. It thus establishes an open relationship between the structure of the Urban Center and the city itself through a sort of process of ‘osmosis’ that makes it possible to transmit the content of the interior via the skin.
