The design for an apartment complex in Grosseto provides a mixed housing solution that results in a compact and homogeneous combination of apartments with varying dimensions, degrees of privacy, comfort and price. The units are organised around a courtyard that, despite the irregular shape of the lot, appears to be regular. Access is either through the courtyard or directly from the road, and the apartments are distributed on one or more levels. With the shutters and the monochromatic plaster, and by playing with the concepts of full/empty, the complex takes on a Mediterranean appearance, which is also articulated in its height.
