The exhibit was distributed among three spaces within the Fortezza da Basso, with the largest utilising 250 square metres of the Spadolini Hall. A strongly unified space was necessary, but each craft exhibit also had to distinguish itself within its own area. The open space was divided by modular blocks of high-density polystyrene which, when combined in different ways, generated actual ‘furnishings’. According to the users’ varied needs they satisfied a wide range of requirements, serving as chairs, chaise-lounges, tables, places to hang clothing, shelves and information desks
