Begijnendijk is a small residential village in a particular natural context. The masterplan wants to circumscribe the village and give strength to its characteristics, giving visibility to the hidden natural elements. A development plan for 50 years is proposed in the centre, catalysing the existing qualities: the main square, with new ‘square walls’; a pedestrian zone similar to a small scale labyrinth, used as a model for new urban planning; human scale and natural character.
