The small high-altitude shelter has a vertical shape suggested by the ridges of the Texel Group mountains. Getting closer to the building it can be appreciated the architectural language of the pitches roof that give a new icon refuge skyline and gives the traditional image of a mountain house, welcoming and protective.
The shelter replaces a previous building destroyed by an avalanche. Compared to the old volume, the construction is set closer to the mountain to open up to the panoramic view of over 180°. A new overlook will be enjoyed over the spectacular valley to the east side which now is considered just the "back" of the shelter.
